This is known as a
Transitional timepiece because it was built when the watch industry was
just coming out with the "stem wind" movements. Not knowing if
the concept of stem wind would catch on,,, for a very
brief transitional period of time, a handful of movements were BOTH
key wind AND stem wind.

cased in a Display Case!!!
