literally goes around the globe searching for Cool Vintage, Rare &
Collectible Mickey Mouse timepieces!
Mickey was obviously a factory prototype that was never put into
production. Except for the modern mass-produced battery powered quartz
Mickey watches, there were very - very few BLACK enameled dial
mechanical wind-up movement Bradley Mickey Mouse watches ever built. The
closest that we could find doing in-depth research in several
authors reference books on Mickey Mouse watches was the 1980 Bradley
"Sportsman" watch. The "Sportsman" model were built in mostly silver
dials but very few were made in black dials. Here is an example of that
However, those low
production black dial Sportsman models had a calendar date window at the
3:00 position. In 40 years of business, we have never seen this
"non-date" black dial model!!
This watch came in a
large group of character watches that we purchased. Since we have never
seen another one like it, we know that it is either an extremely
low production model, or, a one of a kind that was never even put into
case features a double ribbed or fluted "Rolex style" bezel, with smooth
high polished sides and lugs. The screw-down water resistant case back is satin
sand marked stainless steel. The case measures 33.20mm in diameter
(not counting stem & crown) by
39.70mm lug to lug and is a great unisex size for a man or woman.
It is powered by a quality Swiss made mechanical wind-up movement.
Beware of modern battery powered Quartz reproductions. Only the ORIGINAL
Walt Disney Productions mechanical wind-up watches are increasing in value, while
the current produced new quartz watches are losing their values.
This Classic timepiece
