hinged, 3 lid American 6 size
solid 14 Karat Multicolor Gold Fancy Hunter Case. The special extra
fancy case was contracted by Elgin and manufactured by the Eastern
Watch Case Company. This stunning
case features "Gold on Gold". The 14 Karat Yellow
Gold case is beautifully engine turned and deeply hand engraved and
then has
even MORE heavy gauge, 3-D and multicolored 14 Karat gold in
Yellow,
Pink/Rose,
Green
& White Gold applied & Gold welded to the to the case!!! The case measures
39.50mm
(not including the
sleeve, stem, crown or bow).
Opening the watch reveals the
Elgin factory signed and
hallmarked movement. This timepiece is powered by a 3/4 Gold Gilt
plate,
Suspended compensated balance, Model 2, Grade, 289, 7 Jewel,
stem wind, stem set Movement.
The factory original single sunk
porcelain dial
on this timepiece is in good condition with 1800% close-up
magnification showing light hairlines. We could switch dials and
adjust the price up accordingly. It features bold black
enamel Roman numbers, Elgin logo, subsidiary seconds register
numbers and outer minute markers. The outer five minute markers are
trimmed in red enamel. The hands are the original factory blued
spade pointer hands.
