This Extremely collectible vintage
watch is in near mint overall cosmetic and mechanical condition
This watch is collectible on its
own. However, 99.99 % of ANY of these ever found never
have the highly sought after "Baseball Watch Box". Looking up in the
current 2005 edition watch dealers price guide book shows the wholesale
dealer to dealer price of this watch in excellent condition to be $500
wholesale without the box. The same condition watch WITH the box
jumps the price up to $1,500 wholesale!! The Box is actually
far more rare & extinct than the watch!!!
CAUTION:
Beware of copies, or reproductions
of this Classic & Collectible "original" Babe Ruth watch!! There were
copies made of this original timepiece in Hong Kong, and imported in
1976 . These watches although "appearing" similar were slightly smaller,
measuring only 32x38mm instead of 32X41mm. These "fake", or
reproduction watches are worthless among vintage timepiece, and sports
memorabilia collectors!
